Matrix Mysteries and Marvels
[Updated 31 May]

Alice has been promising for simply ages to post this stunning pic of your truely getting into the Matrix. That YouTube raining code is totally hypnotic, isn't it? She turns it on if she's going to the kitchen to do something domestic, says it's better than one of those Windows screensavers. [Actually she has since found a good Matrix one you can download and install - it even has quotes from the film embedded in it! Be careful you download exactly the right file...]

We've recently had a Wachowski-fest, having watched Jupiter Ascending at the cinema (loved the sheer excess of it all) then the three Matrix films in quick succession on DVD and then got the DVD of Animatrix from the Library. Whew!

It's all very philosophical and puzzling, for both of us, so she sent for a second-hand book about it all, Like a Splinter in Your Mind: The Philosophy Behind the "Matrix" Trilogy by Matt Lawrence. Great title, actually a quote by Morpheus.

This post is just to whet your appetite... We will come back later.
[See below - we have!]

P.S. [ 31 May 2015]

We were saving this for the next proper post, but it makes more sense to inlcude it here, doesn't it?

I think there's a word for this sort of thing: looking here-now (as I am) at a photo of myself, taken when I was watching myself on a NetBook computer screen, in this blog, where there's the above photo of myself watching the Matrix screensaver on a desktop computer screen. I believe it's called "self-referential".

Whatever: that way leads a touch of craziness. More information soon. Promise! [Kept.]
